Layla Mohammed Abdul-Jabbar (she/her/hers) is a BFA student at the University of Michigan’s Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design and a new media artist and designer. She is involved with the local DIY community and her work is representative of this aesthetic, discussing intersectionality between topics such as mental health, queer theory, and racial/religious inequalities. She finds inspiration from club kids, body horror, Islamic architecture, and whatever’s popping on the Instagram explore page. Feel free to contact her at layla@abduljab.bar
